Bing, Microsoft’s search engine, may not be as popular as Google, but it’s still used by millions of people.

Your nonprofit can relatively cheaply test how responsive the audience searching Bing is to your nonprofit’s message.

It can be “cheap” to test Bing Ads not only in terms of the money you spend, but also in terms of the time it takes you.

Like Google, Microsoft offers benefits to nonprofits. They offer their products for free or at a discounted rate. You can learn more from Microsoft for Nonprofits directly. Or learn about Microsoft for Nonprofits from TechSoup who verifies nonprofits on behalf of Microsoft and for that matter Google.

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not offer do not offer any benefits when it comes to Bing Ads. The Google Ad Grant arguably is the most valuable aspect of Google for Nonprofits. It offers about $10,000 per month in advertising for nonprofits. If used well, this can make a huge impact for your nonprofit. You should test out this grant first before trying Bing.

However, you can still test out Bing Ads though use a Bing discount code to run an inexpensive test.

How To Get A Bing Ads Discount Code

Bing has a number of offers out there. For example, with your hosting plan, you might get $100 without having to spend anything. However, if you’re unable to find a better offer, you can go straight to Bing. On the link below, you can then enter your email and get $100 for spending $25. So you’ll have $125 to spend for only $25.

You can run a 5 day $25 each day campaign with this budget to give Bing Ads a test.

This offer depends on your location – they offer it in about 10 countries currently (you can toggle between a few of the countries at the very bottom left of the screen on the following link if you are not based in the US).

What To Do With Your Bing Ads Offer

Bing makes it easy to take the campaigns from your Google Ads or Facebook account and replicate it on Bing Ads. This makes Bing Ads also cheap in terms of the time it takes to set up. On top of this, if you have been using a Google Ad Grant, you should have a lot of data on nonprofit search engine marketing (SEM for nonprofits) in general.

This can be a big advantage versus many for-profits using this offer. Again, if you are not using Google Ads or haven’t tried it, we recommend starting there.

You’ll want to adjust the budgets of course from your Google Ads account, as you don’t want to spend nearly as money in a day as you would spend with a Google Ad grant. You can your highest performing campaign(s) and aim for using just $25/day.

You won’t have enough data for a proper test, but can get an idea of the cost per clicks and how people use your site coming from Bing Ads.
